Bewilderment, Richard Powers
A hand-transcription in micro-script of Richard Power’s Bewilderment. The entire text is hand-transcribed in white onto silk-backed gampi paper painted blue and then hand-cut and applied onto a 78” square piece of hand-painted kozo paper covered with a delicate network of lines emanating from the central white area.
Each section of the book begins at an edge delineated by a page number. Each of the visits to a planet is transcribed in parallel lines. Each time the name “Robin” appears, the “i” in his name is dotted with orange. Each paragraph ends in one gold dot. Each section ends in two gold dots.
